Omega8 announces the Interceptor XG

 

OREM, UT USA - Omega8 Announces the Interceptor XG, the Fastest Data Capture and Stream to Disk Appliance Available.

Orem Utah – Omega8, a leader in providing reliable and easy to use network security products that increase customer value by enhancing corporation security policies and practices, today announced their newest product: the Interceptor XG.  The Interceptor XG is the fastest data capture appliance available and streams data to disk at up to 950 Megabytes per second per node. It incorporates hardware RAID levels 0, 1, 5, and 10, supports segmented journaling and native clustering, and supports up to 32 Terabytes per Appliance (scalable up to 9,007 Terabytes or 9.007 Petabytes.)

Other built-in features include a native virtual file system, forensic file management, full downstream traffic regeneration, disk journaling, expand and contract on the fly drive & volume sizing, Citrix® Xenserver and VMware® support, plug and play drives with existing blade systems running under Windows® or Linux and supports 10 Gigabit per second Ethernet.
